Program of Studies

Degrees Granted by the Authority of the Holy See

The ITI is an Ecclesiastical Theological Faculty for the study of Catholic theology as a unified whole. Within that whole, particular additional attention is devoted to the theme of marriage and the family.

The principle language of instruction at the ITI is English. Regular reading of difficult texts and class discussion of these texts is demanded of all students.

The Program of Studies at ITI focuses on the eastern as well as the western theological traditions. In addition to scripture, students read the original writings of the great masters, including St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Anselm of Canterbury, St. Irenaeus, and St. John Henry Newman, to name only a few.

The ITI has a diverse international faculty with an excellent faculty to student ratio.
