Dr.
Gudrun Kugler-Lang (MTS 1999), Austria.
After Gudrun graduated, she earned
her law degree and entered the front battle lines on the
international level, fighting for human dignity. As Director
of World Youth Alliance – Europe (WYA) from 2001-2004, she helped to
give young people a voice at the EU and UN on questions of
human dignity. “With a membership of over one million
young people worldwide, the World Youth Alliance has a voice
that the UN and European institutions have to listen to” reported
Sarah MacDonald of the Irish Catholic (27-11-03). As a "global
coalition of young people and youth organizations",
the WYA pledges to promote the dignity of the human person,
states that it is intrinsic and inviolable and that this
dignity begins at conception and extends through natural
life. See: www.wya.net
In 2005, Gudrun and her husband Martin founded
the company Kairos, which does consulting for non-profit initiatives.
Their clients are mainly involved in spreading a culture of life.
Kairos has already started the Europe-wide initiative Europe
for Christ! which aims at strengthening the backbone of European
Christians (See www.europe4christ.net). They have also put together
a CD-Rom for youth with "everything
you need to know about the Catholic Faith", and started a catholic dating
website www.kathtreff.org .
