Student
Body
The ITI has a unique campus culture. With
students from so many different countries, cultures and rites,
it is truly our Faith that gives us our unity. Throughout the
year, in addition to the exchange of views in the seminar discussions,
our students enjoy learning about each other’s cultures
and are privileged to have the Roman and Byzantine Liturgies celebrated
every day.
To give you an idea of our diverse campus,
following is an example of the statistics of our student body.
Student Statistics
An example of our student statistics can be seen in the academic year 2006/2007, where we had 55 full time students from 17 countries registered: 16 women and
39 men; 40 lay (18 married) and 15 clerical (of which 4 are
priests and 11 seminarians); 18 Greek Catholics and 37 Roman
Catholics.
Countries represented: Austria,
Belarus, Canada, France, Germany,
Estonia, India, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, United
Kingdom, and United States.
Housing and Food
Students, both single and married, are housed in student residences which are within walking distance to the Campus. Each residence includes living areas and a kitchen. Read
about our campus.
Liturgical Schedule
Roman Rite Masses and the Divine Liturgy are offered each day. Please call the office for the Mass times, as the schedule does change depending on the school activities.
During the school year we are blessed to have adoration.
Library and Computers
The ITI computers are available for our students
and they have internet access. You may also bring your own laptop
if you wish. The student computers are located in our library.
Activities
There are many activities on and off campus. In addition to the many impromptu gatherings in the student housing, this area is full of many outdoor activities to enjoy, including hiking, biking and swimming.
If you wish to go further afield, you can hop on a train to Vienna, which is one of the world’s cultural centers: attend an opera, tour the Schonbrunn Palace and gardens, visit the Gothic Stephansdom and enjoy shopping in the Inner Ring.
Austria is also a prime location from which to visit many Western, Central and Eastern European countries.
